Playing legit us copy of monster hunter online with Gecko Os

I have a legal store bought copy of Monster hunter Tri, which i can successfully run offline using Gecko Os. I am having trouble getting online however. My connection tests come back fine, but when i select "City" the connection loads 20% and gives error 20100. Please try to help me. I have searched this forum and many others, but i feel that i have a very specific problem. I don't believe ive broken any rules. I haven't pirated or stolen anything and i only use gecko os because my wii refuses to update.
