Vato, if I use USB Loader GX, will it run games from the USB or will it run a program that then allows games to run from a DVD? I would really prefer to run games from DVD-Rs, but would load from an SD card as a back-up I guess.

Now my PAL back-up games aren't even working through the disc menu or Gecko OS. I'm really at loss of what to do, and am not sure why Gecko OS isn't just launching games like I thought it would, in combination with the Wii Fusion chip. How do I change the settings of the Wii Fusion through the Wii? (see the settings on the TV screen and change it from there).

First of all.... have you updated your Wiikey2 to the latest version??
If not here http://www.wiikey.cn/en/downloads/
download it update it and now try to load up your games.
here is a link on how to update the Wiikey2 http://www.wiikey.cn/en/support/wiikey-fusion/updates/
This shows u how to burn games properly in order to work with the Wiikey2 http://www.wiikey.cn/en/support/wiikey-fusion/burning-dvd/
As i remember correct you need to have a config disk in order to go into the configuration section..... did you know this at all???

Secondly USB Loader GX is only used to run games which are on a HDD or a SD card.
(You can how ever put a game disk in....copied and or original and copy it into the HDD or SD card) it does it automatically by the press of a button.

Thirdly how have you got Gecko OS installed??? DO you run it from homebrew? or do you have a WAD Channel installed and run it off there.

If you have a wad channel installed then you need a SD card with gecko OS folder inside the wii in order to run it.
Try copying a new version Gecko OS and trying to run the DVDs again or
download NeoGamma and install that and try that program.

Neogamma and Gecko OS is used in conbination with your Wiikey2 chip to run DVD games only.

I got the Wii Key Fusion installed at a computer/mods shop. The guy there said that he already updated the Wii Key's software for me.

My Gecko runs from The Homebrew Channel.

Ok, I now have Neogamma running via The Homebrew Channel from my SD card. It will only let me play my backups for about 5 mins, if at all, or it comes up with an error. What settings do I need to set it up to play games - any game? I know neogamma will play my backups, it's just that the game cuts out after a few minutes and asks me to insert the game disc, or to refer to the Nintendo manual. This is for both Wii and GC games.

Also, I see that Neogamma needs an IOS installed or something for it to work and play back-ups. I haven't ever installed any new IOS or CIOS or anything like that myself, so how do I go about doing this. All I want is for neogamma to work. I don't have my Wii connected to the Internet, so I would need to do it by SD card. Thanks in advance.

What about the Wii Backup Channel - do you recommend I install that instead?

I have to apologize for a mistake, 4.2 will block import games as well. But since you have a modchip you don't need to fully softmod to play imports. Install the homebrew channel with bannerbomb and launch the games with geckoOS.
Sorry but I am completelly confused. I need your precious help.

I have a wii PAL ver. 4.2e. I have some games from US. I have installed the Homebrew channel and now I do not know what to do so as to play the games of US that are diffrent region than my wii console.

I will appreciate a lot if you give me detailed procedure because I am trying over a month to solve my problem.

Thank you in advance

I think its nothing to do with the program loading the game or dvd. I think its more a bad burn , or the dvd media you are using is `GAY` lol or your lense is in it`s last legs and doesn`t want to read DVDs properly anymore.
When I had and was using a wiikey I used to get those problems also .... after a while of paying SSBB or Mario Soccer it will just hang on me saying please insert disk. When I changed to a HDD never happened again.

If it works and then hangs after a while then its the DVD not the program. If it was the program than it would not start at all.

You can try to install the back up channel but I don`t think it will help.

What you can do is clean the inside of your wii by buying the special disk to clean the lense. Try that ans you might be lucky and just be dusty and this will fix your problems.

But if original disks work fine and they never stop then again it`s telling you its a problem with the burned DVD`s you have.

If you are going to download Neogamma of the internet why don`t you have internet for the wii?? Do you have a modem that lets you use wireless connection?? or you can buy and ethernet adaptor for the wii to connect to the net.

Either way I think its easier to do it by net .... or else you will need to download all the things to install Neogamma through the net. ALthough if you watch a video from youtube, usually people give you the links to download all the files needed to install the program.

@filfun... alittle more info would be nice... what you are saying tells us crap all.

You installed homebrew, so what... that doesn`t even allow you to play back up copies.... you need something like Backup channel or Neogamma or GECKO!?!?

Also what is the problem!?! Freezing, asking for updates, please insert disk warning.
Are the games originals, back ups?!?!

Please be more specific next time as we are not mind readers and don`t know exactly what your problem is when trying to play the games. ^^

Sorry if iwas not so detailed.

So the games are original ones from US in discs and I want to play it in my wii 4.2e which is PAL.

I heard that I must have the homebrew channel but I do not know what I must do next.
I must install also something else? What procedure I must follow so my discs from US will play in my Wii?
I do not have any back up copies. I want to play only the discs that are different region than my wii console.

Thank you for the support.

It's ok, I fixed my problem. The two games I was trying to play was Epic Mickey and Kirby's Epic Yarn, and other people had problems with those as well.

Um, Vato... My discs are not gay. They do not have a gender. Try using a non-homophobic word next time. It's almost 2011, get with the times.
