Hi Guys,
I'm new here. Thanks for great guide. I have managed to installed successfully. When I tried to insert either usb or sd card to start dump (insert device instruction), it will always give "mounting device....then with a reply - error". Any advice on this?

First of all, let me thank you larrylje for this simple and stright forward Guide.
I have followed all the steps and I was able to dump the ISO file to my PC, and then burn it with ImgBurn. But the the problem is when i played it on my Wii it hangs and asks me to refer ty my Wii manual, although the Orginal DVD is working fine!
Will really appericate your help here.
Thanx again.

I'm succesfully burn my games through WiFi option, but it takes forever.
I tried using the SD option, and I chose 512 mb as the split, it will make 3 files for Gamecube but it's the same name for all 3, and it's already an ISO. HJsplit won't recognize those 3 files since it's not a split file. What am I doing wrong or missing here? TIA

I would also like to know what do you do with the 3 files, winrar don't join them neither?

to use HJsplit, you must name all of the files in this fashion:
say the ISO is coming out named "ROWE.iso".
when you put the split files on your computer, rename them each in sequential order to "ROWE.iso.001" "ROWE.iso.002" etc. all the way down. this should solve your problems

File Names can be important at times. Can I change the name to something recognizable to me or should I leave it alone. I'm on my first test copy via WiFi. Hope it goes well. My Goal is to play game from a USB drive. Should I dedicate the Drive to Wii/GameCube games? Yes I'm sure
Should I copy using DVD dump to that drive and what format ISO?
I will keep searching for answers
Thanks

I have a few simple questions that I can't find an answer to. My wifi route just isn't working. My router crapped out at 97% on attempt two(laptop ran to router via ethernet) and attempt one said 13 hours (that was straight wifi).
I gave up on wifi so I decided to go the SD route. I bought an 8gb SDHC. What format do I use and what speed do I use? I assume Fat32 and 512mb. Is that correct?

Wow Dumped my first game via WiFi. Took 3.5hrs. Even Moved my Router Closer. I an older Linsys 802.11b unit but that is all a Wii is capable of using correct? Any how would I expect faster dumps if I went to USB or SD. USB makes since but...
How do you use the SD card if the Dump software is loading from the SD card?
Or
After launching the program can you pull the card and insert a SD card to dump the files to.

Quick question here. I just delved in to Modding my Wii. I followed the instructions NEW AND IMPROVED WII SOFTMOD GUIDE ! found at http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/773505 and am just wondering if I still have to do all the steps mentioned in this HOW TO guide or if I can skip the cIOS38_rev12 steps because I installed the cIOS38_rev14 when I did the soft mod install.

Hi all I am new here so I don?t know much about what I am doing but I can follow instructions. I softmoded my Wii following larrylje guide, thanks so much for that.
Now I did this procedure and it seemed to work but when I do the wifi dump I get the download status bar ok and it runs for about 15 min then it reaches the end, says complete, I get a file RSPE.iso that is 386mg and on the wii screen I get ?error!(ret 10056) or 10015. Does anyone know what that means or where I can find out? And one more question. How do you if the game you are using is 1 layer or multi layered.
Thanks for the guide.

Hi Tiger,
I'm new to this too but I have successfully done 2 dumps so maybe I can help you out. Be sure you are using Mozilla Firefox, I have been told that IE is problematic and I had absolutely no porblems going through Firefox 3. If you are using firefox and still having problems I would check your wireless router as you should not get an error on your Wii screen. As far as single or multi layer, I wondered about that too, from posts I have read on the net their currently are only 2 games that are dual layer disks, I can't remember the names of them at this time but just google that question for you answer.
