My son updated my wii with a copy of blackops :\ I still have homebrew channel on there but the usb loader doesn't work anymore, and it seems like some other games don't work either. I have a wiikey 1 in it also.

Can someone direct me to a tutorial I can use to get it back to the way it was? I'd appreciate it. I keep googleing but everything I find I don't know if I need it or not or how "in date" it is.

First of all.... bash the hell out of your kid for doing that so he will learn not to do that again lolz (No just kidding) ^ ^
But yeh you should not leave games lying around like that as your kid prob knows nothing about what updating your wii might do to it, but on the other hand he could have asked you if it was ok to update ....anyways kids will be kids.

Tells us what firmware your wii is still upto and we might be able to point you on the right direction, as I am a bit confused as Black Ops is a new game and it should have updated your Wii to firmware 4.3 and (4.3 gets rid of all softmodding) including homebrew and you are saying you still have homebrew!?!

I still have the homebrew channel on my wii yeah. But the usb loader I have on it (wiiflow) doesn't work anymore. I'll need to check the firmware version when I get home but I think it is 4.2u. With the homebrew channel and everything still up I figure I probably just have to do some work with the ios' but I don't know what I need or if there is a program or something out there that I can use to just do it all for me.

if you still have HBC, then it's updated; it will survive system updates if updated to latest.

most likely IOS249 got stubbed by the update, so you need to run dop-mii and delete the stub. then run cIOSX_rev20 installer and reinstall IOS249 with base 57.

and while at it, install priiloader, and block all updates.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .
