So I don't have wireless at my place and so I ordered this Wi-Fi USB Adapter for Nintendo DS Lite / PSP / Wii / PS3 - GNDSLITEAD01 item. link to it is here.
http://www.buy.com/prod/wi-fi-usb-adapte.../208905812.html

It's supposed to let you plug in the usb thing to a computer that has a wired internet connection and somehow you can connect your wii or one of the other systems to the internet wirelessly but it didn't come with a driver cd or anything. It just says on a sticker attached to the box it came in to visit the site driverdownload168.com for a driver but I tried that and they don't seem to have the right driver.
The box the USB adapter came in says it is a EDUP Wireless USB adapter which is in contrast to what the buy.com page says it is. The actual USB thing in the box is the same as the picture on the buy.com page though.
On the actual back of the usb thing it says it is a
WLAN 11g USB adapter
FC C E 0560
FCC ID: PANWL2203S
MAC 0002727F9910
S/N 23409107500-01E

but I still can't find a driver for this that works.

I'm using windows xp

Typical eforcity stuff. You shouldn't buy from them unless you know EXACTLY what you're doing.

"Compatible with MAX media Server Software"

You have to go find the server software yourself.

If it's anywhere to be found, here would be the starting space.

If you can't find it, I would suggest returning it unless eforcity can provide the software.

Well I got it to almost work somehow. It was complicated. I went to the link the sticker suggested going to, driverdownload168 and downloaded the nds wi fi adapter file. Then installed some driver and utility program from that zip file and successfully connected the wii to the internet, but now I have a new problem
It is only giving me limited or no connectivity, which makes playing online games too laggy to work. Some windows xp box said the problem occurred because the network did not assign a network address to the computer and when I try to repair it by clicking the repair button it gets stuck at the Renewing your IP address step. Any ideas?

Ok, so I did some searching and found http://ms.nintendo-europe.com/software/n...xp/en/index.htm If that doesn't work try this.

I got it to work using some driver from the driverdownload 168 site then fixed the connectivity problem by manually setting an ip address that was only one digit different from my ip that my ethernet cable connection uses. thanks for the helpful info
