From the last few weeks I have been searching and trying to find out how to install a backup launcher for Wii. I found a plenty of videos and that kind of stuff saying that I have to install cIOS but my wii just freezes or the screen turns black.
I also tried to install wad but it doesn't work either.
I had already updated my wii to 4.2 and I have HBC.
Could please somebody tell me why this happens and explain me how can I install it?
Not sure if i have the answer but i had a softmodded wii, which my son updated to fimrware 4.2e via the wii from nintendo, This update deleted my hombrew channel and stopped my backup channel from playing backups. I then restored my wii to factory settings which meant i lost all my data. I then followed a guide for modding my new 4.2e firmware which i might add found a lot easier than some guides i have used before, Everything worked fine i also installed neogamma 8 beta v15 and it plays all my backups including new mario brothers and a few that didnt work before. If you would like me to post the info and guide i used let me know :) I take no credit for the guides or help i received and would like to thank all modders.

This runs the Hackmii Installer from which you should install the Homebrew Channel, DVDX [optional], & Bootmii as IOS & boot2 if possible.
"I SKIPPED THE NAND BACKUP" by bradnick p.s this i leave up to you
Making a NAND backup Restart your Wii, if Bootmii was installed as boot2, then it will show up as soon as the Wii is turned on.
If Bootmii was only installed as an IOS, then it must be loaded by pressing home in the HBC & clicking Launch Bootmii
