HI if any can help I would apreciate it. I'm new to this and through reading previous posts I thought I figured this out but I am now having problems. I downloaded ImgBurn and are using it with a Memorex DVD +/- RW Dual-X1 drive with Verbatim DVD-R discs. Imgburn wrote the disc but cannot verify it, it just keeps trying to cycle the drive. I have tryed to disc in my wii and it will not work. I have also tryed using nero to burn the iso and those discs do not work either. I made sure to download ntsc iso's. Am I missing a step somewhere? Any help would be apreciated.

I don't know about the drive you use, if it matters or not?
but did you write your disc at the lowest speed??? use X2 every time.
Verbatim disc DVD-R get the job done. It's a good choice.

Hope it helps.

Yes actually I burned at 1x. I dont know if it makes a difference but it is a hardmod (a mod chip) not a softmod.

Burn at half the rated disc speed. Burning to slow can cause issues just as burning to fast can.

Is this a new Wii system?

Newer systems have a dvd drive that can not play backup games. If you have one of the new drives in your system you have a couple of options.

Option 1) Softmod the system and load the games with a USB loader.

Option 2) buy an older drive to replace the new drive.

I would recommend Option 1 over Option 2. You could by a 500GB USB Device for the price of an older drive. Loading from a USB Device is allot more convenient anyway.

It is an older wii system, bought it within 2 months of its release actually. The discs I have say a 16x speed on them so I tried burning at 8x and imgburn was able to verify the disc this time but it still would not play on the wii. Im begining to wonder if i got hoodwinked on this hardmod.

Well, if it's a hardmod did the modder prove to you that it's working? Can you find out from them what they installed? If worse comes to worst you may have to disassemble it to look.
