Run VC games from SD Card Menu?

Can anyone provide some info on running VC,nes,snes, and n64 games from the sd card menu?

Would be nice if we knew what type of info you are wanting.

If you mean how to install then.

Just download the VC/Wiiware game from shop channel (or install it via WAD if your system is softmodded).

Then MOVE (do not copy) the VC/Wiiware game to the SD card under Wii data channel management.

After you move it to SD Card you can then select the SD Card icon in the Wii menu and launch the game from it.

I've softmodded my Wii 4.0u. I've got plenty of VC and N64 games but am running out of space. I heard you could play games from the sd so I figured this would free up some space.

Thanks for the info Larry, thats exactly what I was looking for. I didn't know if I needed to install something to be able to do this. Sorry for lack of info in first post. Thanks again!

Worked great! But now that I've moved that file to the sd I cannot move it back to wii system memory, correct?

Also, where does this game save on the sd, any idea? Could I just save games to this file and avoid the move process?

It saves to the private folder on the SD card. You need to MOVE the game from the system to the SD Card so the Wii can link it properly.

I also read somewhere that the games are actually transferred to the Wii system memory when you load them up to play even when they are on the SD card. To avoid delaying the loading process always make sure there is enough memory on the wii system to temporarily store the WAD or game file you are playing. Otherwise the Wii has to temporarily move content out of the system memory and store in on the SD card in order to make room to load the game from the SD card you want to play into the system memory.
