I recently copied my sam & max discs to my HDD using GX USB loader. It turns out that both season 1 and 2 freezes up when I try to select an episode.

Now I can just play the discs really, since they're originals, but I'm always curious to find out why things doesn't work as planned. Is there something in particular that has to be done to get these games to work? Should I just use another loader perhaps?

Each episode uses its own ios, this is also the case with a few other games, CFG loader has an option to use a Wip (I believe) file this then selects the ios at the start of each episode.

Hmm, that's a shame since CFG loader doesnt work in my setup, doesn't recognize any HDDs.

hey so I just figured this out for anyone who is reading it

i couldnt find a wip option
you need to find the wdms files for configurable loader
then use them to get the game to run
you start whatever chapter you want by selecting it in the game options before you start the game
then when you start the game it will just start that level
