So I just bought SaveMii to try and fix the wii I bricked about six months ago doing a fw upgrade.
I was going from (I think) 4.1u to 4.2u and installed a bad IOS60 patch (stupid, I know). Now when I boot it just goes to a black screen.
I tried SaveMii, but it has a solid red light and doesn't show a fw number onscreen. Would SaveMiiFrii work?
I'm sad that I killed my wii, does anybody have any ideas?
More then likley if all you get is a blank screen when turning on the Wii, then SaveMii will not help. You will have to use a programer like Infectus to restore a NAND backup to your NAND (if you didn't back up your NAND your pretty much screwed).
That's will fix the wii, but they are expensive & hard to get, not to mention I think your game save data might be erased. Your only hope is that you have bootmii as boot2 installed or Priiloader installed. If you have neither, your only option is the method that Larry listed.
