Hello everybody!
I accidentaly updated my PAL Wii from NTSC Metroid Other M disc. I used regionfrii on the iso before I burned it with Nero at 4x.
Now I can't see the settings menu anymore and I can't play the game either beacause it says "The Disc Cannot be read" or something like that!
Any kind of help would be much apreciated,
Thanks!

No one actually knows what update this game has, so you'll have to use WiiScrubber or Syscheck to check what the update is, then update higher than that or re-install the current update in your region. It might have been 4.2, do you still have The Homebrew Channel?

You'll probably need Indiana Jones LEGO or Super Smash Bros Brawl to run WAD Manager or other apps to help you.

I don't know how to check updates or how to run Wad Manager, but i suppose there must be something about these two on the other threads, I forgot to mention that my Wii is hardmoded with a Wii Key...
P.S.: I checked for the homebrew channel and I don't have it, instead I have two forest channels and two News channels
P.P.S: I never actually installed the Homebrew Channel...

Okay, here's what you need to do. I've found a method to fix this brick, & it works on hardmods, too. However it's really dangerous to gamble with updates, if you install a lower one than what you really have, it could mean trouble, so you should find out what it is exactly. You will need a SD Card to use this method. Your only other option failing that, is to update to 4.3, also impossible unless you can find a disc with it.
First, in your SD Card, create a folder: ROOT. Inside ROOT, create two folders "APPS & WAD".
Download this app: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/SysCheck
Put the boot.dol in the root of your sd card, & everything else in the "syscheck" folder, which will be in the "apps" folder. Leave WAD empty.
Run the boot.dol from the SD Card Menu, & Syscheck will run automatically. Post the report on this forum. I will tell you what firmware you are from the report, provide you the files for it, then you can follow this guide: http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-issu...pera-error.html
There is a DOP-MII download package on that website. Inside it, contains a boot.dol. If you can't run syscheck the first time, try using this boot.dol instead of the one in the Syscheck package.
If you don't have a SD Card Menu accessible from the Main Menu, you may not be on 4.2

I have the SD Card Menu accessible from the Main Menu but when I insert the card I can't boot or see any boot.dol file...I have two brands of SD cards, one is Kingston the other is San Disk

Use the Sandisk. If you have LEGO Indiana Jones that might work also, but try to load from the SD Card Menu. Use either the boot.elf file or the boot.dol inside the apps folder. If you have LEGO Indiana Jones PAL, you can use it to run Syscheck.

Well, how do i use those files from the SD Card, are they supposed to appear when I acces the SD Card Menu? And, yes, I do have Lego Indiana Jones PAL...
P.S.: I kept trying all things these past few hours, I tried all these versions of syscheck 1.6.2,1.6.3,2.0...i did not try with the Indiana Jones, but what I discovered so far is that wii won't load the boot files...
P.P.S: I even tried that bannerbomb thing and it gave me Error #004 The system files are corrupted...

Oh, well that explains a few things:
1) You are currently on version 4.3(U)
2) Metroid: Other M is the first game with a 4.3 update
3) After fixing it, you will not be able to play NTSC Backups without a softmodding tutorial.
I have found IOS80: (Link Removed by 12137)
I've searched a little bit, but I don't think anyone has uploaded Systemmenu v514 (PAL), so you'll have to get it via the NUS Downloader for now: (Link Removed by 12137)
Use IOS80 instead of IOS60 in this guide: http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-issu...pera-error.html
Use this guide to softmod 4.3 when your done: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs...tmod-guide.html
All files downloaded at your own risk.

Another thing here, i told you I have a wiikey, why do i still have to softmod?
And Thank You very much for all of your help!
P.S.: I tried and began with the first tutorial...after putin all the necesary files on the sd card, I put the into my Wii machine and it came up with this error:
"Error#004
An error has occured.
The system files are corrupted."
P.P.S:
I will write here exactly what i took from that tutorial and put it on my sd card:
1. I extracted the first to the root of my SD card
2. Added a New Folder in the root and renamed it "wad"
3. I extracted the next 3 zips in my /wad folder
4. Then i added ios80 wich I downloaded from the link provided higher here
5. After that I downloaded System Menu v514(E) using NUS and selecting .wad as the extension of the menu
6. Inserted the card in my Wii and got that Error

you DON'T run the files from the wii menu. load indiana jones, and run the indiana pwns exploit to load the files.
and you MUST softmod to get your wii back to its original PAL state, or else you'll have to wait a long time until a 4.4 update comes out.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd

it's suppose to be clean, because you did NOT softmod at all. hackmii installer doesn't change the IOS; it wants clean, untouched IOS to install.
and you even said yourself you cannot go into the wii settings. that's a semi-brick.
you are at risk now. because you don't have a clean NAND backup, you have to take the risk of installing 4.2E from dop-mii or from a wad from NUSD, not knowing if it will brick your wii.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd

Ok, maybe I don't want to take the risk, and I will wait for a softmod for 4.3 , is it bad for my wii if I just leave it like this? It doesn't actually bother me that I can't use NTSC backups...Because from what I have read it is very likely to brick it if I try to downgrade...

Indiana Pwns won't work, you need to have a hacked save file already on the wii, & that requires going into the settings. Smash Stack requires a NTSC-U copy of the game, so unless you already have the save file installed, your only option is to use the Wii Fit Time Format, not so desirable, or live with your wii as it is.
Normally this kind of brick is easy to fix, but it's harder here because your on 4.3.

Once you've installed The Homebrew Channel, you can try to run DOP-MII, but there are a few things to remember:
1) Always install System IOS first, before system menu.
2) The systemmenu v514 WAD must be downloaded from NUS
3) When you follow the guide, only install the system menu files, & start from the Select ios36, press A step. Just install the IOS80 & system menu, & you should be okay.

It says it's not for 4.3, but download their pack & use the DOP-MII guide section up to step four only. Do not un-install any IOS under 200 & do not go further than step 4.
Do anything at your own risk.
OK, i did what you told me, I did what the Guide Said in section Dop-Mii and after I select install ios36 w/fakesign i get this:
