shop channel on modded wii

Is it possible to use the shop channel to download games on a modded wii? I have wii points and I am hesitant to use them. I have homebrew and USB Loader GX installed.

Yes, you can use it just fine.

If you're not on 4.2 already though then it will have you update before being able to use the shop, and that will remove your cIOS's that let the USB loader run. They can be easily reinstalled though, so it's not a huge deal.

Cool, thanks. I am at version 4.2U so I should be good, I was just unsure about it bricking my Wii.
