Should I let my Wii with Argon chip go online?

I just realized that my wii has built in wi-fi and I have a wireless signal in my house but the console is chip modified. Should I enable the wifi in the unit? What are the disadvantages and or advantages. Thanks.

I thought my firmware might get updated without my permission. What makes going online worthwile?

nothing really but if you wanna play multi player games then hell yeah go online.and i believe they ask you if you wanna update your firmware.why would you not wanna update your firmware
