hi im new to the wii mod scene so i just want some info before i try and soft mod my wii.i have a wii that allready have a wiikey fitted to it but it wont play the latest games (i just get a blank screen when i load them up)so would it be ok to soft mod it using the homebrew channel and the software i have downloaded is system menu 4.0 and my wii ver 3.1e.would it be ok to use this software thanks dean

What version is your Wiikey?

I am running 1.9s and everything in-region runs with no problem.

It would be OK to run the homebrew channel but I would suggest that you should upgrade your Wiikey first and then you may find out that you don't need to softmod.

Do you have the game disc block enabled on the Wiikey?

If your on system menu 3.1e then more then likely the system is missing IOS for the newer games to run. To get past this problem update with the game disc (make sure the region of the game is the same as your system region).

But to answer your question yes you can have a Hardmod and Softmod on your system.

If your going to Softmod it I would recommend using the 4.1 FIRMWARE SOFTMOD GUIDE in my sig.
