Not skipped...perhaps overlooked for a bit in a bit of rage...but absorbed nonetheless...

This feels a lot like when I started backing up my movies....ALL DVD burns...then I got smart and just keep everything on an external or two...this will likely be the same...once I learn a bit more about just what the mod actually does...I'm generally not good w/ "presto, it works" solutions...need to understand more...I'll graduate to something less cumbersome like a USB solution...

My biggest turn off to backing up my games was the special DVD ROM needed just to get the ISO. Then second was the Mod Chip. Now that the smart guys developed the soft mod solution. Both issue have been resolved. I love the fact No extra hardware needed if you already have a USB drive that's compatible.

Good luck with your adventure. There are may that will help you on your way to success.

Would GREATLY appreciate your help on the next few steps...

Having read the guide here the following couple of questions jump out at me:

It talks first of patching the IOS, but says an un-modded Wii is fine...SO, being that mine is modded, do I really want to do any additional patching?
The more I read it seems I don't understand IOS...there are multiple, not just one?...reviewing Larry's softmod tut it looks like I need to go back and update the IOS he lists...correct?

At the end of Larry's tut it says I can format the card...saw where someone didn't and bricked themselves somehow...I'm seeing other tutorials reference the "apps folder on my SD card"...after I update the IOS' mentioned above, what should my SD card look like?
Figure I need to format (based on Larry's tut) but then somehow need to set up a proper file structure on the SD card.

F-me man...wish I UNDERSTOOD this stuff more...hate just blindly following directions...oh well, them's the breaks.

Yeah...he's an exceptionally knowledgeable guy...just a bit abrasive when a question is beneath him or otherwise answered...going to take some time today and educate myself so I understand things more...

If you can clear things up for me as I plug along please do...

Going to try Superdump once I get home.

The directory should be something like...

apps>Superdump>boot.dol (If the dol file isn't named boot.dol then rename it boot.dol).
