Hi all,

I have a strange problem on my modded Wii and I am wondering if anybody can help?

I have the Wii running on 4.1 and it is softmodded. I play games through Neogamma and it has worked brilliantly for years. Last week I burned a couple of games for the kids which were Just dance 3 and Disney adventures. These have played great and all worked fine.

However two days ago the wii has failed to play any game. Neogamma will not open and the Wii freezes when I try and the games do not show the game in the disc channel on the homepage.

Does anybody know what the problem may be?

Many thanks.

It could be many things

1) Is your softmod still in place, if in doubt use syscheck (google)on your SD card and post the results (you need to still have ios249 for neogamma to work - if it says stub then the softmod is missing)

2) Is your SD card still working and not corrupted, put it into your computer and make sure it reads OK, then reinstall neogamma on to the SD card.

3) Has the Wii failed, if you insert a "genuine" disk and try and run it without using neogamma is it seen and will it run.

Hi sorry for the delay...

The wii recognizes genuine games. The SD card is fine and is also recognized.

Now I have noticed I have a channel missing from my wii and it is I believe the homebrew channel, my son must have deleted it. If this is missing do the apps on my SD card fail to work? I have tried a few different SD apps like wad manager and the like and they fail to load, I just get a black screen.

I initially modded the wii using the twilight hack but I am now on 4.1 and don't think I can re-mod using that.

Is there a way to re-add the homebrew app/channel so my loaders will work as the wii is already softmodded or is a re-hack needed?

All information and advice very, very much appreciated!

Google modmii, run this on a PC and answer the questions about your wii, this will download everything you need inc a guide. Follow the guide and you will re hack and add the homebrew chanel, is neogamma is still on your SD it should run as before (you may need to add a forwarder / channel for it.
