As you can tell, I crammed as much crap into the title of this thread as possible without posting the actual question.
Now my issue is that I have a Wii (Obviously), I updated to 4.1 long ago (nearly a year ago) and found a way to install HBC as well as backup launchers and whatnot. (I think it was bannerbomb, but don't quote me on that). The backup channel as well as HBC have all worked fine with no issues whatsoever.
Now, I don't want to update to 4.2, but I still buy deserving games legitly and being on 4.1, I get Nintendo prompts to update to 4.2 to access the WiiShop Channel (or whatever the hell it's called).
I obviously want to keep my HBC, which is doable by simply updating to the newest version before I update to 4.2, atleast according to these guys:
However, what happens to my ability to play backups, my backup launcher and do .wad managers still work in 4.2? Logically, they should, but you never know.

Get NUS Downloader. Afterwards, select Wii Shopping Chanel v.17 under Database=>System=>Shopping Channel. Tick Pack box on bottom left, and then click Start NUS Download!. As usual, install with WAD Manager.
