Hi,

I am having a drama with wii backups at the moment, up until yesterday ANY dvd-r I used on imgburn would play on my drivekey modded wii. I have tried burning with verbatim -r's, memorex -r's and finally tesco -r's and they all give me a disk error.
Previous backups I have made work perfect, but when I try to re-burn them, they won't work either. To eliminate a burner problem I bought an LG drive today, but still no progress.
Out of desperation I tried a sony dvd+r and changed the booktype and it worked. The problem is I was led to believe that +r's were evil for the laser and I'm sure that 3 different brands of -r's couldn't be duff. Is there anything else I can try?

Thankyou in advance!

you could switch to a usb loader. no need to worry about making coasters or stressing out the disc drive.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Is that easy to do?

easier than making discs.

find configurable USB loader and put it app folder on SD card.

Look for WBFS manager. Custom formats and automagically scrubs the iso before adding them to hard drive. Only works from 1 of the USB slots, so if it doesn't read the drive on one slot, try the other.

I think there is a way to play em off a FAT32 partition too, but scrub em first to save space.

Ok, will look at that route! Thankyou!

Just tried yet another set of DVD-R's (Sony) and they worked!
