I'm not entirely sure this forum holds any information as to the ones im about to publish so please do not hold it against me.
Yesterday i borrowed my friends ssbb and used friidump to make a iso and burn it following the instructions to the dot on this site's sticky. However when i tried to load it with my neogamma and wiigator, both gave me a error. i made another disc but same results.
I refused to burn another disc until i found out what was wrong.
Thats when i came across a thread on gbatemp. it appears cIOS Rev14 under wii firmware 4.1u ( to my knowledge ) is bugged and will continue to give you a error. The guy who posted the thread reinserted his disc to continue playing. I gave that a shot and it worked showing me my disc was burned correctly. Therefore if you wish to play SSBB on softmod, then hopefully wait for a fix in rev15, uninstall rev14, or downgrade your wii. If anyone else has another solution please post here as I see all 3 methods very much of a hassle but still wish to play ssbb ( at times ingame it'll crash after matches and theres no way to continue ).

Did you make a DVD5 or DVD9 backup? DVDR- or DVDR+ or Dual layer?

Yes cIOS38_rev14 supposedly has an issue with DualLayer support.

Just install cIOS38_rev13a if you can not live without SSBB.

I used Memorex DVD+R DL, and yea i thought i'd just post this cause every SSBB guide is for some kind of hardmode and when i was searching for info a ton of softmodders were using like 5-20DL discs not knowing what was going on.

Oh and its a DVD9 back up
