I am buying a WII with Fit and will be working in Vietnam for 6 months. I want to take my WII with me and use it for exercise. How do I manage this? NTSC WII, NTSC games PAL TV. All the converter info is about playing NTSC games on PAL.

well the best thing that comes to my mind is

obviously you are taking a laptop with you also
I would say get a cheap tv tuner card for the laptop and connect the wii to that, use the laptop as a backup screen at least
if that setup of wii and tv tuner card works here it will work there also

get the wii and softmod it following the links to guides on this site

get a harddrive and sd card for the wii and load your games and loaders onto it

thats why the laptop tv card will work good using the rca video and audio
if its a good laptop you could even go out to tv from the laptop

Easiest way is if the wii is softmodded. You can force PAL video output through neogamma or your USB loader even from an NTSC wii and NTSC games.

Also, many newer TV's here in the US will properly display PAL video. So if you're using an LCD or plasma TV in vietnam it might work without having to do anything.

Thanks. I didn't even think of the tv tuner for my laptop and I do have hdmi on it. That sounds like the easiest solution. The TV is provided in vietnam and s an old flatscreen not very modern. I already watch my dvd's on the laptop so this will work fine. Thanks for the suggestions.

I don't use PAL TV's but what I have read most PAL TV's will play NTSC video. The problem is usually playing PAL games on a NTSC TV.
