Sry if this had been asked before but im having the hardest time try to unmod my wii. my brother installed something and he wont tell me what and it is now screwed up i cant play my games or backups so i want to unmod the remod. so is there any way to do so
The simplest way is to update to 4.2 . You are already on 4.2, so the way to do it would be to re-install the system menu WAD & system menu IOS. First of all, what region is your wii? The 4.2 update should erase ALL your softmods & you should be able to softmod again. Do not update to 4.3, since there is no way to softmod it yet.
Once I know your wii's region, I can instruct you on what to do next.
OK, before I write anymore, I'd like to say that I may been wrong in saying installing 4.2 will make you a virgin. I haven't yet learnt much on the subject, so do not follow that piece of advice. Instead, you could:
I just wanted to add updating by reinstalling your IOS (IOS70. WAD) & system menu (systemmenu v481. WAD) may work based on what I've read here: http://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/201211-make-your-wii-virgin.html But I'm do not guarantee anything. I'd follow the video instructions I posted. You could also make it a virgin by updating to 4.3, but 4.3 cannot be softmodded at this point in time.
