On a softmodded 3.4U Wii, if running Wii Update Manager on an ISO to check the game region and update region and they are both NTSC but there is an update that says 3.1U_v3 (same region as Wii), does it still need to be brickblocked? (I'm unsure because I read somewhere that even with same region discs and Wii, it can still be bricked on softmodded ones, only chipped Wii's were safe from same region discs). Can anyone clarify this for me please.

That is false there is no current update that will brick your Wii as long as the disc is your region.

I'm not sure if I made it clear, but I meant that if the disc (backup of a game from ISO, not the actual bought game) and Wii are the same region and there is a disc update on the disc (not blickblocked ISO), it can still brick the Wii if installing this disc update. Having said that, if there is a disc update on the ISO, but its the same region as my Wii, it is safe to leave on? Also, if when the game is put in the wii and if it asks to update, it is completely safe to do so?
