I know this question has been asked in several forums, but I can not find a good/solid answer anywhere...

I have a Wii with a WASP key and only PAL backups of my games.
Can I safely update via the internet to 4.2E without having trouble reading my PAL backups?

Please, I am only wondering about the question and do not want to hear about all other solutions like softmods...
