If you want to update to 4.2 then re-softmod, you could update off one of these games:

FIFA World Cup 2010
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Endless Ocean 2
Guitar Hero 6: Warriors of Rock
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2

Then follow this softmod guide: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/24839-softmod-any-4-2-wii.html

However, before you resort to updating you should try fixing your Black Ops problem using this guide: http://www.wiihacks.com/wii-games/71871-call-duty-black-ops-guide.html

wrong place to ask, but cIOSX_rev21 with base 56 on IOS250. never failed me from rev19 and rev20, even online. IOS249 is base 57, but there are lags in MHTri; i have experienced it firsthand in a four person mission.

sorry about posting in the wrong place

i will keep trying to figure it out then
i read this site like 10 times a day and am having trouble finding a mixture that will work with all games

kittymat suggested in anouther post about installing the cios20 and 21 to different places but that was the first i heard of using the same file multiple times so i didnt try it (in regards to black ops)

maybe i just need to redo something as my wii is 4.1 (done a year ago)
but i find that other games no longer work such as bomberman land after the cios19 install

since it is on the same topic about the call of duty game
i have read that pimp my wii is bad for the wii and could cause problems
but maybe i need some of those files to get it to run as i read in anouther post i think i might be missing something

i think i am getting a bit too far off topic even though this is the game that is causing me problems so maybe i will make a new post
but thanks to cee43ja1 for helping

yes, pimp my wii can do some damage, which is why i tell people to use dop-mii to install/update their IOS. so what if it's not automatic? it's way safer, and it's made by trusted people in the wii community.
