Updating my softmod 3.4u ?

Hello, I am new to this, I am trying to update my softmod on my WII since i keep getting a blue screen with a 002 error, it is a 3.4u version. I did not do the softmod on the WII someone else did, I have read i need to format my SD card to FAT32 ( but it says it will erase it) Now my question is how do i go about doing this upgrade? I have tried several different uploads of files with no luck :( just a pain HELP please.

You do not need to update, Error 002 is an error you get when the game's required IOS is missing from your console, in other words, you haven't updated. This can be bypassed though without needing to update, you should read your other thread immediately.
