this usb loader is getting flustrating. for a while i couldnt get the program to work but then i think i solved the problem by installing a new iso but now i cant get games on my flahs drive and my hdd isnt even being recgonized.

to start off with the flash drive i slide it in start the program and unlock it. then i go to add a game and the screen goes black and a error message with a bunch of random numbers and letters appears and a really annoying buzzing sounds starts to play.

with the hdd it is in nfts formatt and my comp wont let me change it to fat 16 or 32. the only format option is nfts. so then i start wbfs and try to format it into wbfs format using the wbfs program but i get a error message there. and if i plug it into my wii and start the program it will countdown from 30 saying there isnt anything plugged in.

so i guess what im asking is that it would be a great help if some one would post the answere to my problem or a link to a diff forum that has the solution already but ive searched and searched and havent came up with and usfull info.

onc again your help would be greatly appreciated.

ok i had a breakthrough. i used usb loader instead and it recgonized my san disk and also COPYED the game onto it... so i think it was an issue with the usb loader gx version i was using. so i then tried my hdd but that didnt work so i was wondering if anyone could give me a list of walmart available hdd's???

The my passports work nicely. The thing is with the drives its not so much the drives as the adapter inside the cases that make them not work. I have a my passport that the drive in it went bad. Tore it apart and all drives I have used it with have worked on the wii.

well ill have to check that one out but does the freeagent work?? i like the design of it and its 80$ for a 500gig one at my klocal walmart?

also what is a really good usb loader? the one i have got to work from the tekno guys (whatever there name is) is ok but i would like to have the artwork for the games and be able to scroll through the art work and not text. (and if you do know a good one can you give me the specifications for it like what cios it needs)

thanks for the help.

wait?? so i just want to get this straight?? the drive is what actually is the memory and the adapter would be like the usb port??

so is there a way to get a compatible adapter to use with my drive i already have??

wait. while i wqas waiting for the stupid 3 min thing i pulled apart my hdd and i think i see what the adapter is. its a chip that has the power, the 2.0 usb port, and the power switch connected to it. so by the looks of how it is connected to the frame ikm guessing you ould buy a replacement from the manufactuer, but then you would have to jerry rig the device to gether because the new adapter wouldnt fit the frame... unlss i were to buy the frame and adapter from the manufactuer. that way i could just take the drive out and put it into the other case???

just tell me if im making a mistake.

I am not sure which freeagent drive you have. (There are several)

Yes what you discribe is the adapter. If you bought another one from the manufacture it would likely be the same chipset and still not work with the wii.

no what i ment was call up the pass port company who ever makes it and say my hdd enclosure is busted and wante to order a replace ment then pop in any drive i want into it. and i didnt know it madered which free agent it was i figured they all had the same adapter??

i have one last question. my hdd is in format ntsf. i thought that was compatible with the wii?? or is it just fat 32 and 16??

never mind. i got it to work!!!!

all i had to do was delete my partition and then when it promted to format it, i declined it then used wbfs to format it.

im going to have to try this on my other hard drive to see if this is a universal method. but i doubt it :( things cant be that easy lol
