usb loader GX keeps crashing

i have a soft modded 4.2 wii thankyou larryjl by the way. IOS 249 with hermes 222/223 update, an external hard drive from the compatibility list on wiki and booting from a 16gb sd card using wii flow, as usb loader GX keeps crashing when installing covers weather on 2gb fat32 active partition of same hard drive or sd card, i get a thick green line through it or check (M) drive and reboots to wii home page or if loading through a channel it gets to the usb loader page freezes and needs to be turned off, any ideas tried having the fat32 or the WBFS partition as active, was told to have both active but can not do this, loaded software for hard drive and turned power save off. same problem every time, got usb loader GX (r688 i think) from http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=149922 .
on the other hand wii flow works no problems but will not load, no more hero's one or two can anyone shed any light on any of this? usb loader GX will load both no more hero's games were wii flow just goes to black screen. i'd be happy if no more hero's problem could be sorted out on wii flow.

The latest stable GX is 874, use the update function and update to the latest version.
On covers the only issues I have had have been from the witdb website - when downloading the download stalls (witdb is quite often down due to all the traffic) then GX loader can crash every time (one of the covers is corrupted)
I have tried CFG but the kids prefer GX

how do you find the faulty cover load one at a time?, wii flow seems most stable for me i am gonna try configurable usb again i can occasionally get usb loader gx to load and only need it now for no more hero's 1 and 2

to download the covers one at a time www.wiitdb.com search for the game ID
For GX I had to change the main load ios to 222 (came up as 249 initially)

i have yet to experience a corrupt cover in configurable. always downloaded them straight from the loader.
as for having the active partition, the FAT32 should be the one. oddly, when i switched enclosures and tried GX, it couldn't find my drive, while configurable sailed along perfectly.

best is to grab the latest one from that thread, and then update over wifi.
as for the covers, i wouldn't know. the first loader that i used with covers was configurable, and i just downloaded them from the loader.

thanks so far so good tomb raider, wii music and ssx blur (with alt dol ssx.dol) run along with other games even with booting from a forwarder channel, same as gx but sometimes gx locks up wii this one has not as yet

GX is way clunky compared to configurable. and the forwarder channel is much easier; turn on the wii and there it is.

you need to switch the flow layout. mess with the d-pad on the game selection to switch to different flows.

the last time i tried this program i had the right .wad file for the forwarder but in the .rar file i had a corrupt .dol file hence it wouldn't load, just thought id let you know
