Hi,
modded my new wii with Larry's fab guide - all done, working fine etc.

But can any of the older (pre-motion plus) games be played on it, as per normal or is there any issue with doing that.
Have all the games on a hard drive now but concerned about one of the kids friends arriving and playing a disc.
wi-fi is turned off - so no auto-updating.
thx

Having a bit of trouble deciphering what you're trying to say but I'll give it a shot.

All games should be fine, motion-plus or not. If its not compatible with motion plus, then motion plus just won't do its thing. There is not changes and no need to remove it.

And all the discs should be fine if you followed directions.

If your afraid of someone updating the Wii System with a game update then I would suggest using Preloader .29 which has hacks you can use. 1 of those hacks will block game updates from being performed on the system.

Thanks folks,
esp Larry for the original guide.

Have put some Sonic decals on the wii for the young-ones and put some tape over the dvd-drive.
I like using the usb loader so at least no newer games can be physically inserted and the wireless is off = No updates.

again, thx folks, yer a knowledgeable bunch.

an add on question if ye don't mind.

If I am using a 320gb WD passport - works fine -can I partition 100gb of that as wbfs and the other 220gb as ntfs.
Will that work with usb loader - and only pick up the 100gb.

thx
