hi. anyone know if you can play wii backups online on 3.1E? If not, could you point me in the right directions to a guide which explains how to update to the latest firmware without damaging the wii.

Also anyone know if its possible to get round the Wii classic controller check when trying to start up mario?

go follow the new and improved wii softmod guide. I believe all you have to do if you are already softmodded is to update via the nintendo servers, and then run ios60patched.wad

if you want to use trucha signed discs you have to run IOSdowngrader afterwards. Thats it.

The guide is stickied and is listed on page one of this forum. Read it slowly and carefully and you will be good to go.

Not sure if you can play backups on 3.1e online but there is no reason not to update so just go do it while it is still safe.

If you have issues loading the HBC after updating and such update it to the latest version. That should clear it up.
