I just started softmodding my wii following this guide, I am at the near the end of step 3. So, my question is I accidentally installed the IOS35.wad using IOS35 and now I cant use IOS35 it just freeze the screen when I select it, how can i fix that? Also, the author does not specified which IOS to install the IOS35.wad.

Uninstall the wad. Google is your Friend and I believe (Maybe Wrong!) You install it with IOS249.

Windows 7 the easy way of life

To install, boot and run Linux off a USB

Don't uninstall the WAD. It will uninstall IOS35 and could cause a brick.

As well if your using my guide it does tell you to use IOS35 when installing the IOS35.wad file.

Unfortunately there have been a few that have had this freezing issue happen when selecting IOS35. I would suggest trying to follow this guide HERE and see if that works for you.

Larrylje, I am having the same issue.I was getting a 2011 error when trying to install cios38_rev13. I tried following instructions in "The_Wii_Nes_Boy" link:

http://www.nes-hacks.com/forums/p19144-2009-12-21-13:37:17.html

I installed ios35 ok, but when I go back into Wadmanager 1.4 and select ios35 if freeze. So I cant get to the next step to install ciosv7.wad. I was going to take a look at your other instruction link, but it does now work. Can you help.

larrylje, Thanks for your help. I was able to to follow your directions in your 4.1 and below guide. Everything seemd to go fine. I skipped Hermes ISO 222/223 i wasnt planning on using usb load. When I select to run Neogammar7 from the channel menu all I get is a blank black screen and then I'm froze. I have to power down and back up. Also I have wii 4.0u I did not apply iso60patch yet. I was a bit confused at this portion. I did not see a selection for NAND Emulation device <disable>. I beleive my WAD mgr is 1.4. Is the ISO60 patch my problem? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
