Want to install bootmii or preloader on softmodded wii

Hi guys

I have softmodded five wii's now with the ignorance of not using bootmii preloader or backing up nands.(Ya how stupid)

I was just wondering will i run into a problem if i install bootmii or preloader after the cois have been installed?

I have a 3.2E wii did two 3.4E and two 4.1E

Also is it worth updating what advantages does it have, the only difference i saw was the SD capabilities.

You can also run VC / Wiiware from the SD I believe (haven't updated myself). But no, there shouldn't be any problems doing those now.
