I ran into a problem and I thought I had it fixed, but it came back. I followed the guide for Wii with 4.2. I then loaded the CFG USB Loader. I copied games from the Wii to the hard drive no problem. I can play them from the USB drive.

I then copied a few games (ISO) I had to the USB via Wii Backup Manager. Those did not work. I got the following error:

Split 0: size (-1) not sector aligned
wbfs error: hd nun sector doesn't match

After a little research and thought, it appeared when I formated the usb drive (done via the link in the doc), it was not done in a sector size that has a multiple of 512. So I reformated the drive this time with Wii Backup Manager. The first game (ISO) I copied tothe USB this time worked. I thought I had the problem fixed.

But when I tried to copy another game (Mario Cart ISO) to the USB via Wii Backup Manager, I got the same erros as before. I am not sure what the problem is. Anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks

Still having problem. I reformatted the USB drive again. My Bionicle Heros works fine. Still get the other errors with Mario Kart.

So I tried a different Mario Kart ISO and copied it to the USB drive via Wii Backup Manager. This time I get the following:

Setting up Fragmens 3
ID Mismatch
Set_frag_list: -1

why not use WBFS manager, if you're using a WBFS formatted hard drive.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

svtlight, thanks for the reply. I was getting ready to update my post in case someone else ran across the same problem. I think I narrowed my problem down to 2 things:

1: my usb drive is bad (wd passport essential)

2: my pc is not giving enough power to the usb drive.

I am leaning more to #2 right now. sometimes when I copy files to the usb drive via wii backup manager, the process would stop and go along with the usb drive clicking. copy data...click..copy stops...click... data copies...click...copy stops...etc.

I am currently in the process of building myself another pc, so I have been going back and forth between the 2. I need to do some more testing to determine the root cause.

Thanks
