I am going to get one around my birthday. I'm just tired of buying DVD's.

So lets say I get a 8GB SD card, I can just dump the .iso from SD to the Drive using a USB GX loader or something similar?

If not, how do you load your .iso's into your USB drive? Don't say dvd's :-P

1) Backup Launcher is old. Neogamma is new http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=158884
1A) to get the Neogamma Channel http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=165485
2) Superdump (Requires homebrew) dump your game in 30 minutes. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/780900
3) Make your Wii skip updates! Use preloader 0.29 and enable skip updates. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Preloader
4) Scared of Bricking your Wii? Make an NAND backup! Install BootMii http://bootmii.org/install/

Either dump with USB Device from DVD using Wii.

Or

Transfer a riped or downloaded ISO to USB Device using your PC and WBFS Manager 3.0.1 which you can get HERE.

it is much faster to transfer them to the portable hard drive using the WBFS manager. Copying them from the disc to the drive is not bad either, about 25 minutes for a full 4 GB+ game, but if you are planning on doing multiple games using the PC and WBFS manager is quicker if you already have the iso file handy.

It's nice also that some games are really quite a bit smaller than the full size of the disc and the USB loader only takes the game, and not the big empty dummy file. A few puzzle games I did were less than 500 MB. Transers quickly and saves disc space.
