What Wii Game DVD Version/Region Do I Have?

A friend gave me 2 DVD games (Indiana Jones and Up), and when I put them in my (1 yr old h/w 'modded') machine they seem to require updating the sysyem s/w before they'll play.

I'm reluctant to do this for fear it'll 'brick' my Wii.

How do do I tell what region, PAL vs NTSC etc these games are to help make sure they are compatible with my unit (there's no region, etc info on the printed packaging - other than on the DVDs there is the titles and numbers PWU-468 and PWU-460)...?

Guess my big question is how can I get these games to run/play on my Wii?
