How do I findout which version firmware is running on a wii.

A friend wants me to softmod his wii, but neither he nor I know what version firmware he is running

All help appreciated.

Go into the wii settings and it will state it in the top right hand corner

If I might ask a further question.

I softmodded my Wii some timeago with Neogamma 6, I notice with the new instructions it is using neogamma 7 and the process is slightly different.

Should I be doing something to my own softmod to update it or is it fine as it is.
