I have bought a wii and decided to put wasabi dx in it thinking it was straight forward to play wii backups(how wrong was i), 1 game works rest dont,(The fact 1 game works tells me im doing something right)
theres no extra hacks or software just wasabi dx and the wii.
wii has been updated to 1.2, but im stil getting the black freeze screen after starting backup game.
I am burning images at sizes around 4.5gb(is this right?) with imgburn(thx Dailun) and nero but to no luck is there something im not doing or missing.
Are some games easier to copy than others??
and are there 2 different pal regions??
The wii's firmware is only 1.2? Well THERE'S your problem! I bet the one game that is working is a launch title, or at least a VERY early release. Newer games will NOT run on that old firmware.
You need up update the wii to a much later firmware. Unfortunately if you update it online currently you'll get firmware 4.2 which will remove your homebrew and prevent you from reinstalling any of it.
I think you can get firmwares online and install them as wads now. If you cant then you'll need to get a recent game disk, an original disk, and update from that. out of sheer fustration,i removed my wasabi dx and upgraded to 4.2e (Good thing bad thing i dunno)
refitted my wasabi dx and walaaa games working, no brick, no black screen only tried out pal so far but thats what i use anyways so...
