Hi I am trying to play backup game using the backup launcher however I need to downgrade my firmware. Is there a Homebrew app to do this - also my wad installer is freezing halfway though. Anyway I need to know what app to get to downgrade my firmware (if it is an App) and what I might want to do about the wad installer (the first time I tried launching it from the SD channel but it did not work... but i used the app form of it and it worked but froze up).

No, you don't need to downgrade your firmware. It's unnecessary to play the game and quite dangerous for your wii.

Most likely you updated and lost some of your cIOS's that need to be reinstalled. Follow whatever guide is right for your wii's current firmware and everything should be restored
