Wii 3.3U firmware update w/ Wii Fit Plus

I have a 3.3U w/ D2C modchip on it. I was trying to play the new Fit Plus and in order for me to play this, I need to update the firmware. I don't want to update the firmware and brick the system. Any safe way to play the Wii Fit Plus?
