I know it has probably been asked already a million times... But...

Does this tutorial work or is it outdated now ? How safe is to softmod Wii ? What are the chances of fucking up your Wii console ? What does it mean "to brick" your Wii ?

A couple of days ago I bought a new Wii with system version 4.1e and want to play downloaded games... Just want to be sure not to fuck up anything... And want to want which programs are the best for playing backup games...

First of all, I despise swearing, & secondly you should use a guide specialized for your system menu, in short here:

The guys at Wiihacks truly know their stuff, so yeah, but make sure you don't uninstall any IOS under 200.
