I recently installed bannerbomb softmod with uloader and configurable usb loader. everything works fantastic. My question, and to most it will sound silly, but, can i still play my original games with disc channel or will it brick my Wii?

No, that's fine.

[Edit:] Let me try again: yes, you can play original discs with you disc channel, just don't run updates (which most likely want ask anyway); no, it won't brick your wii. I would suggest you look into Priiloader so you have a way to use your backup in the event of bricking.
