Hello,
I have just soft modded my Wii and am wondering what size usb hard drive to get for this. Do I need a 500 plus mb?

Whatever size you think you will want, games range in size from 30MB to over 7GB, so it depends how many games you have and wish to put on to the hard drive. 320 - 500 is usually more than enough as you will run out of Wii memory for the game saves before you fill the drive. Copying the saves too and from the SD card is a pain.

put it this way; depending on how many games you own right now and ones that you plan on getting later will determine how big of a drive you need. my 320GB scorpio black drive is nowhere near full, and that's with a 32GB FAT32 partition for emulators and configurable usb loader, with the rest of the drive as WBFS.
