[Wii 4.2e + HBC (updated) + USB Loader GX 2.0 + USB Loader GX Forwarder + 500gb Hard drive]
The wii boots fine, clicks into USB Loader GX Channel fine and boots into USB Loader GX Fine!
It then loads up pretty quick and shows my stored games [WBFS + Using WBFS Manager]
It boots up a game up and plays the game..
HOWEVER ->
If i nip off and leave the console idle for a few minutes (not exactly sure how long), it goes to a black screen and says:
"an error has occurred.
press the EJECT button, remote the disc, and turn off the power to the console.
please refer to the wii operations manual
for details"
now, i have just done a quick test as i was typing and i think it is when the wii remote switches itself off to save batteries, i am now going to give this post a minute and check if this is the case:
1) Leave wii at Home Screen, Let Remote Switch Off - No Problem..
2) Leave wii at USB Loader GX Home Screen (game menu), Let Remote Switch Off - DIDNT SWITCH OFF??!!
3) Leave wii at Any Loaded Game, Let Remote Switch Off - Get The Error..
Anyone?
Can i prevent the remote from switching off?
could be your hard drive going to sleep, could be GX itself. i can leave configurable usb loader running itself, or let a game run until idle, and it will still work.
hi mate thanks for reply,
im not quite sure which is the problem,
actually to add to this -
i only modded the wii 2 days ago, all runs fine when playing, i can play for hours without a problem..
i actually only received my hard drive today, and the day i modded the console, i ran games from a 8gb memory stick (wbfs + wbfs manager again) and it did the exact same!
HOWEVER at this point i simply thought it was the memory stick and that the console needed a hard drive to run smoothly.. this is not the case..
so not only did it do this with the Hard Drive.. it did it with a Memory Stick..
As far as im aware a memory stick doesnt goto sleep ie. no moving parts etc..
actually modking, GX was updated to 2.0 with IOS58 support. but i still hate the GUI of it. it's too clunky, and trying to hard to replicate the wii menu feel. and the usb drive compatability doesn't like my custom drive enclosures.

configurable remains my loader of choice.
wow, didn't know that LOL. Never liked it like wiiflow. wiiflow just looks so good.
