having been told that the update for my Wii would not affect my homebrew apps,i decided to update.4.2e was kindly installed.no homebrew apps working now.no problem ,bannerbomb to the rescue.bootmii 2 would not install so causing the homebrew apps not to work.i have beentold theres no fix.is this right?thanks in advance.

Of course there's a fix. There has been for months now and I don't know why so many people are still saying that there is not.

Unfortunately larry's 4.2 guide is gone now, but this one is still up. You'll need to email or PM the person who maintains it for the files.

did the softmod guide and it worked like treat.thanks larry.a little later in the story i found the mplayer will not work despite instaalling dvdx, the menu of the player just freezes when play dvd is entered.have i done something wrong or is there a fix.
