Wii Backup Problem

Hello I Have a UK Pal wii, and yesterday i installed the homebrew channel with bannerbomb.
I also installed the backup launcher and its channel to my wii.
I downloaded some game iso's from a website the games i downloaded are:
monopoly
wii sports 2
mario and sonic at the olympic games.
My problem is that after the discs are burned using imgburn they are not recognised by the backup launcher, another program says there is no disc inserted.
I am using a HP Laptop G60 100EM
litescribe dvd-r's
rivivsion dvd+r's
Burning with imgburn on windows vista ultimate.
What am i doing wrong?
what is the best brand of dvds to use
Please help if you know anything.

When I burn copies of wii games I patch them with a small app call wiipatcher (google it), burn the image at 4x using imgburn and I use ritek discs with no problems and have had 100% success upto yet. But you may want to try using wiiscrubber on your iso files as it could possibly be what is known as the '001 error'

ok thank you i have just baught 10 Taiyo Yuden DVD-R off ebay hopefully they will work,
well actually they are made by Taiyo Yuden By Data Safe but they should work fine.
I searched google, what exactly do these programs do anyway?
do you need a special type of vurner to burn wii games, i just a bit put off by every single wii game that i burned on both the litescribe dvd-r and the riviion dvd+r turning into a coaster!

You don't need to patch the disc.
Did you install a cIOS? You need a cIOS installed in order for the backup loader to work.

ok i dont know what a cios is,what is it , where can i get it, and how do i install it?
i have homebrew on the wii

I Wasnt using a guide i was using a ready made folder with all the homebrew files in it all i needed to know was how to boot bannerbomb which i did, just got ten Taiyo Yuden DVD-R off ebay, they are supposed to be the best brand of dvd you can buy so i got em.
I think it is to do with the quality of my blank dvds so hopefully these will work just fine

just got more info on my discs, dvd identifier says that my litescribe dvd-r discs and my rivision dvd+R are made by "CMC Magnetics Corp"
does anyone know what this company is and if they are suootable for the wii

What's the media ID? DVD Identifier will give you that.

Looks like they're both 2nd class media. They're "OKAY" according to one website I looked at, but they're certainly not genuine Taiyo Yuden's.

If you go HERE and look at the FAQ it says they are 2nd Class Media. 75% to 90% tend to be good.
Not as good as first class media.
I wouldn't use them for game backup.
That is why I stay away from E-bay. To much fake crap is sold there.
Go to supermediastore.com to get some Tayio Yudens or Verbatim (stay away from the valu-line products).
You can get a 200 pack of Taiyo Yuden Premium 8X DVD-R Media for $57.99
$29.99 for 100 pack.

no i no they arent taiyo yudedns these are the discs i used thta the wii backup launcher couldnt read
