I installed a few games as wads via wad manager (so they show up on menu as wiiware),
and it worked perfect, game icons shown on wii menu, loaded via usb drive.
I then added 2 more games via the wad manager-
and when I returned to the wii menu it gone black, and stuck.
now, when I start the wii, I get the warning screen, I hit the A button, then it plays 2 seconds of the wii menu music (screen black) and it gets stuck in silent black screen.
It's a PAL, 4.1E system
Does anyone have any idea how to get around this?
Yeah, tried both- didn't affect in any way :(
I do have an old BootMii backup, but since BootMii was installed as ISO (and not on boot2) I can't get to load BootMii :(
Is there any way to load the backup??
If you didn't have Priiloader installed and have Bootmii installed as an IOS and maintenance mode doesn't work then you will need to do the below steps.
The reason it isn't booting properly is more then likely due to 1 of the channels you installed is corrupt. You will need to delete the corrupt channel.
To do this you will need a Modchip. After installing the Modchip use an autoboot disc that will boot AnyTitleDeleter (this will let you delete the corrupt channel that is causing the issue).
If the Auto-boot disc will not load then you will probably need to use Savemii or SavemiiFrii to boot into recovery mode then run the auto-boot disc to load AnyTitleDeleter.
HERE is a diagnostics chart from savemii that kinda walks you through the steps to take to fix your issue.
That's why you should install Priiloader. Anyway, check out the description on this video and/or watch this video. You'll need to find his disc on the second, the first has a link to the necessary files. I haven't tried these so I don't know if they work but I imagine you're willing to give them a try.
@larrylje: how do i create an autoboot disc- that will boot into AnyTitleDeleter? I assume I need the wiikey set to autoboot, but then how do I invoke HBC / AnyTitleDeleter?
I found this: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AXT5A849 (a 34MB iso file) but at this point I'm "scared" I'll make things even worse.
@the_rob: I will try that, thanks. I dont have a GameCube controller, I'll try to get my hands on one. Does the GC controller simply allows you to autoboot as if you had a modchip that supports autoboot or does it do more?
