Wii freezing when I try to load game from usb drive

So recently I changed my hdd and copied the games to a new hdd. now everytime I try to load a game, wii hangs.

I got modmii and it built a folder to be copied to my sd card, I tried that and still same result. I would like to start over and re-mod my wii. is there any updated guides available?

any help much appreciated.

Modmii - that is what

In the folder you copied to the SD is a guide, follow this with the SD in the wii!

I did follow the guide. everything seems to work fine except the games. any game I try to execute, I get a blank screen and no response.

can you please point me to a updated guide for softmodding wii? I did mine several years back. A lot have changed since then.

What loader are you using (cfg, gx, wiiflow)
Is it the latest version
What cios is it running on (should be 249 - d2xv8 final base 56)

Some hard drives are not compatible but this usually means they are not seen by the loader

not sure how to check what loader I'm using.

I load WAD Manager and it shows selected IOS version is 249.

when I run USB loader, it displays the following:

ISO 235 not found, reloading into 36
starting up
initializing controllers
initializing USB (wake up)
Reloading iso 249...

If your wanting to start again just be careful with what you install but mod mii is safe so there should be no problems.
Make sure you have installed the hacked 36 ios so you can work with your homebrew.
Forgive me if I am wrong but I am just trying to help :)
Also make sure your using all the proper Cios hacks.
Let us know how you get on.
Also post pictures of your steps your worried about of if you get errors :)

I think the problem is that somehow your games when copied were corrupted.
It happened to 2 of my games when i was copying multi games at a time from HDD to HDD.
So you might need to recopy them.
If it worked before and you did nothing at all besides copying the games from a HDD to another I don't see the point of having to re-soft mod your Wii, that is just craziness :(
