Wii Game - Super Mario Kart Stopped Working

After using Larry's guide Mario Kart was working just fine. Now when I am about to start a race the screen goes black. Should I dump the Mario Kart Game and just reload it back or should I find another version of it elsewhere?

Am using USB Loader GX r899 with CIOS38 rev17 and I haven't had any problems.
