So i believe all softmod is complete, I have HBC and now just formatted my external harddrive with WBFS manager.
My question....
Steps needed to get a game file on the harddrive.. for instance, do i find an iso file and simply drag it to the external hardrive and walla? - thats the questions as far as downloading.
Steps as far as taking my actual wii game disc and loading it to the hard drive?
is any of this that easy or no matter what i have to have a burned copy in my hands to transfer it to harddrive?
Basically, i was told by craiglisters offering to charge me for a mod and telling me after they are done all i have to do is pop a real wii game in and press a few buttons and the whole game is saved on the usb drive, please help and thank you..
p.s. i prefer not to have to have burned discs, i really want to back mine up by doing what these people said i could potentially do: turn on wii, connect hard drive, put disc in, press a few buttons, and take disc out leaving disc virtually loaded onto drive.
oh lol one more, best and easiest way to get older games?
Also just having HBC will not do it. You need to have cIOS's installed. So if you don't have that done start with the 4.2 softmod guide in my sig first.
i did your softmod last night, thanks it went well, after you mod im left with an apps folder on the card do i delete the card and the other instructions ""
2.UnRAR uloader_v3.0C.rar and copy the apps/cios_installer/ directory to sd:/apps/
... so am i to have the original apps folder and this new apps inside of it SDCARD:/apps/apps/cios_installer, i just do not want to make a mistake and i always worry bout being new to this and asking obvious questions that arent obvious to me... basically right now my wii is in the state it would be in after your soft mod, and i took my 250gb seagate go drive and it was given the wbfs install/format, and thats where i am at, all thats added to the factory wii menu is HBC and neo gamma
basically, im on my way in a minute to a friends house to get a game, when i come back and i follow the steps i should be able to pop that game in press buttons and it will rip to the wii? i wont need to burn a copy or use a computer correct?
Create a folder named WiiBackupManager on your PC.
Download Wii Backup Manager Version 0.3.5 beta 1. Then extract it to the WiiBackupManager folder you just created.
Double click on the WiiBackupManager.exe file to launch the manager.
Click on the Files tab (It should be set to Files tab as default).
Click on Add/Files then browse to the directory you have your Wii ISO/cIOS files located and select them all to be added into the manager.
Click on Select/All There should be a check mark next to all ISO/cIOS files in the list.
Click Transfer/WBFS File then browse to your USB Device Drive Letter then to the WBFS folder.
After the files have been converted and transfered to your USB Device/WBFS folder you can then connect your USB Device to your Wii. Then launch CFG USB Loader by slecting the CFG USB Loader channel you installed at the start of the guide

Where do i get these files? i did the soft mod now i am follwing the 2nd tutorial in larry's sig, i checked all previous files i have downloaded, i'm almost home i think... just dont know where to get these files and ma worried to stop now...
These instructions are if you have a current .iso on your computer. If you are looking to rip a game, you need to boot up CFG Loader, once in there press the + button to install game.
the guy before you answered my question, but since the step for loading iso/ciso was before the how to rip to harddrive step i was confused. i thought i had to have some downed iso/ciso files from your softmod leftover or something... anyway thiese guides and you guys have been great, thank you... also i downloaded brawl and followed your steps for part you described having trouble with on the wiimanager, i have my computer and its hard drive and i have an external drive okay? do i have to have two differnet drives? my WIIdrive with games on it is my FAT32 drive what drive is supposed to be my wbfs formatted drive? after this question i am done!! =O)

You don't need a WBFS drive. The games are converted to WBFS files.
