Hi everyone!
I have a hard moded Wii (no idea what chip is in there, got it done at the Pacific Mall in Markham). I would like to hook my usb HDD up to it and run ISOs from the HDD.

Question is:
1. Do I need to now softmod the Wii?
2. If not then what are the steps to get usb channel set up
3. Will this mod also help me to solve world peace?
4. Did you ever notice that when you spell wii like this WII it looks like you are talking about world war 2?

Last thing - like a complete n00b I upgraded my Wii to 4.3U

Well, last things first...since you updated to 4.3, it is not currently recommended for you to do any softmodding. That will of course change once the new code is studied and the appropriate patches/hacks are created.

To answer the first/second part...you will need a USB loader in order to run games from your usb drive, and since they all require some form of softmodding, then you will be required to install all of the wads and other mods necessary.

3rd part, it is unlikely that the mod will help you solve anything other than allow you to rock your wii with the latest games and apps.

4th part, yes, it does look a little like World War 2, except the font needs to be in Times New Roman to get the full effect (oh yeah, then there's the matter of the other W that is missing).
