Download DVDx 3.4 and install it via the HBC. Be sure to rename the file to boot.dol.

Rename the boot.elf to boot.dol. Then, place it in a folder named DVDx3.4. Take your SD card and plug it into the SD card port in your computer. Double-click on the SD card letter drive to reveal its contents in Windows Explorer (assuming you have Windows OS). You should see an apps folder there. Now, drop the DVDx3.4 folder in the apps folder so that the complete directory is SD card/apps/DVDx3.4/boot.dol. Now, take your SD card and put it in the Wii's internal SD card slot. Fire up the Homebrew Channel. Locate DVDx3.4 and load it. Finally, follow the installation prompts.

You must be doing something fundamentally wrong. I thought I was pretty concise with my instructions above. Please read them again very carefully and ensure everything is good.

Download MPlayer TT. Then, simply copy the mplayer folder into the apps directory on your SD card and launch it through the Homebrew Channel. You don't need to rename the folder. For optimum playback, use DVD-R or DVD+R book-typed to DVD-ROM.

That is dependent on many things. The problem could be the DVD-video source itself. Sometimes it could be the type of media and the rate it was burned. Also, higher bit-rate video streams may cause choppy or jerky frames. You can hide the menu and disable subtitles to compensate for the poor playback. In any case, you are using an app that works but isn't perfect. Team Twiizers spent valuable time developing this app; so, we can't really complain.
